Anonymous proxy traffic can create major security challenges for websites that rely on accurate user identification and safe browsing environments. Proxies hide real IP addresses, making it possible for attackers, bots, and spammers to mask their identity. To protect a website, the first step is identifying unusual patterns such as rapid repeated requests, mismatched locations, or IPs belonging to data centers rather than residential networks.
